I am a Junior Specialist in Dr. Ragland's lab researching how individuals with schizophrenia encode and retrieve episodic memories. We administer EEG, fMRI and MRS experiments to identify impaired and intact memory networks associated with the disorder. The long term goal of our research is to train schizophrenic patients how to better engage relatively unimpaired memory networks (such as familiarity and item-based memory) while guiding future treatments to target specific memory deficits (such as associative and relational memory).
