I am a Junior Specialist in the TCAN lab, working under Dr. Lesh. I graduated from Cornell University in 2013 with a B.A. in Psychology specializing in behavioral and evolutionary neuroscience. Our research is focused on examining cognitive control mechanisms in early onset psychotic illnesses, as well as the possible relationship between inflammation in the brain and psychosis. Among my responsibilities in the lab are fMRI and MRS data acquisition on 3T Siemens and 1.5T GE scanners, data analysis, and the administration of behavioral tests and cognitive tasks. I process and analyze the data using a variety of neuroimaging packages, including SPM8 and associated toolboxes, and custom code written in Matlab, bash, and Python.
My interests include the meta-analysis of neuroimaging studies, the improvement and standardization of statistical methods in cognitive neuroscience, the optimal management of large datasets, the use of TMS and tDCS in cognitive training and clinical therapy, and large-scale network dynamics.
I plan to attend graduate school to earn a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience, and I am looking to improve my knowledge of both statistics and computer programming, especially using Python and Matlab.
