Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation Studies of Behavioral and Electrophysiological Correlates of Higher-Order Cognition (TLC)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of mild brain stimulation on cognitive processes, including language, memory, and attention. In order to do this, we are enrolling individuals with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder to undergo transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and electroencephalogram (EEG) recordings. This study will help lead to better understanding of how the prefrontal cortex of the brain functions during higher-order cognition.
